About Women in Roofing Management

 

Women in Roofing began as Women in Roofing Management (WiRM) as a project, developed by Roofing Training Officers, delivered through the Roofing Industry Alliance and funded through CITB.  The aim being to help women in management and administrative posts within companies to achieve their potential with regard to their roles within their companies.

How did it work?

 

WiRMs launched in September 2014, offering individual members an opportunity to learn more about the Roofing  industry, support organisations, terminology, social media, and to hear about training opportunities delivered through the project.

 

How did people get involved?

 

Anyone wishing to join the project contacted one of the team to arrange an in informal meeting to discuss individual needs.

 

What sort of training was delivered through WiRMs?

Courses were arranged around the requirements of the group members and favourite courses so far include:  Human Resources,  Completing PQQs & Tender Documents,  Training & Funding, Management Skills, Heritage Roofing.   

 

How much did it cost?

The launch events were free of change* and subsequent training events incurred a small charge (depending on course/venue) *CITB in-scope  companies

 

Will the WinR deliver more training courses - yes if time and funding allows
